A former school teacher, Dimitrios Otis fell into the role of "porn archeologist" after a chance visit to the Fox Cinema in Vancouver BC, which at the time was still showing original 35mm adult movies from the 70's and 80's. Moved to share his discovery with fellow cultural types, Otis organized a public screening of a gloriously faded print of Deep Throat, and the overwhelming response launched him into the role of porn impressario, archivist, writer and consultant.

Otis was profiled in a Vancouver Sun feature, and also interviewed for CBC's Definitely Not The Opera, Chris Gudgeon's book on Canadian sexuality "The Naked Truth", and the Global documentary "Sex, Thighs, and Videotape". His "Return To Porno Chic" events at the Fox Cinema were covered in the recently published "Vancouver: The Unknown City".

A writer by disposition, Otis began deconstructing X-rated videos for Vancouver's Nerve monthly, then conducted a major interview with porn star Ron Jeremy, which led to "the Hedgehog" coming to Vancouver to host a Return To Porno Chic night. Otis writes the content for this site, and also freelances for various websites and publications.
